Full Moon in Capricorn ♑️
Also, Uranus in Gemini, and my podcast interview on Rights + Remedies
All over the world, old structures are falling away.
Capricorn represents structure, integrity, and what’s built to last.
Where in your life did you follow the rules to the T, only to be denied the reward that was promised?
That’s what is illuminated by the full moon in Capricorn, at 18 degrees, on Thursday.
Last night I went outside and noticed the moon was rising over the hills further south than usual. I had a hunch it might be what’s called Out Of Bounds (OOB). It was.
I don’t normally check this for new and full moons, but I always do for client chart readings (I have it in my own chart!). In a birth chart, an OOB moon indicates a personality that’s somehow an outlier: the genius or the outlaw.
So you’re saying we have an outlaw moon in orderly Capricorn?
Time to break the rules.
Which brings us to Uranus.
Also this week, Uranus moved into Gemini.
Uranus is the planet of change, and has spent the past seven years in Taurus, a fixed earth sign that, well, doesn’t like change. Uranus’ push for revolution and freedom has slowly made its way through Taurus themes like money and food, giving rise to cryptocurrency and a greater emphasis on sustainable agriculture.
Now Uranus has been liberated into the freethinking mutable air sign Gemini, setting the stage for changing opinions based on new information coming into the light.
Pluto, the planet of transformation, destroys to rebuild. Pluto completed its 14-year journey through Capricorn in 2024, and that’s where we’re seeing what’s broken. You don’t replace something that’s mostly functional. We need the systems to break down to build something better.
It can feel like moving all the furniture out of the room. You’re like, hey! Where do I sit? Where’s my stuff?
Yet the empty space is an opportunity.
Look at your birth chart to see which house Capricorn is in.
Mine is in my second house of money and self-worth. It’s taken me years to see that traditional publishing (the Capricornian institution) might not be the best or only route for my novels (for me). More on this soon!
Consider where you can release yourself from the old rules and the “supposed tos.”
How can you trade top-down authority for inner authority and discernment?
What rules are you ready to break?
Podcast Interview on Rights + Remedies
My longtime friend Allison Mahoney is a lawyer who represents victims—dealing with lawsuits ranging from revenge porn to children in the foster care system. Her work seeks justice for victims, but she saw a need to also explore what victims need beyond justice—healing.
That’s the theme of her podcast, Rights + Remedies.
Allison is also a writer (we actually met in a writing group!) and has firsthand experience in using memoir writing on her own healing journey.
Our conversation on “How Writing a Book Helps You Heal Your Trauma” is now live!
My podcast: Self-Trust
I’ve also started releasing episodes to my podcast again.
In the archives, you can see my previous seasons on purity culture and intuitive animal communication.
I’ll be posting standalone episodes in anticipation of my next season, which will be paired with a new fiction release this fall.
The first one is on a psychological concept called “corrective experiences.” I have been calling them “corrective memories” by accident; but the reason for that is because we are often hitting a dead end because we are trying to have an experience to “fix” a memory. In the episode, I give examples from my life related to both career and romantic relationships.
Thank you for exploring the stars with me! 💫
